Can the Obama White House with Congress, solve our Country’s deepening recession?

The average unemployment rate, looking like 80 all over again. Firstly, inflation, unemployment then and now?

The way they’re going right now..NO

  2. DAR says:

    No.

In fact trying will make it worse.

They need to get out of the way.

The ’stimulus bill’ is just throwing gasoline on the flames.

  3. Son of Liberty says:

No. They can only make it worse and make it longer.

  4. Dak25 says:

Probably not his plans dont really great based on what the republicans have said.

  5. Don B says:

    NO

The republicans don’t want solutions from Democrats

therefore they have vowed to be Obstructionists AGAIN

  6. Linden says:

You mean after he makes it worse using his current plan right?

  7. Joshua P says:

Much worse situation than the 80’s. In theory, they can reduce its depth and shorten it. The degree to which they do depends on poitics, and the signs aren’t good — the package isn’t big enough, fast enough, or directed enough to be as effective as it should be. But it’s a lot better than nothing.

  8. Nancy Pelosi says:

President Obama has his hands on the controls and all is well. You need not fear

  9. Bryce K says:

Oh, no. Much worse. Check out the Money Masters. You will want to move to Canada.

  10. ja says:

Doesn’t seem to me like they’re really intent on doing so. Come on, printing almost a trillion dollars? Sure, that’s the answer!

  11. easy24q says:

Well, we know how it works out with a Republican in charge and we can remember how it was when the last Democrat was in charge.
I would say we have the best chance with the Democrats.

  12. Dustndwind says:

    Too far gone!

  13. rejectedzipper says:

They, for better or worse, are the only ones with the tools to do it.

Should we leave it to “market forces” and let banks fail, companies close, unemployment go to 10 or 20 percent?

SOMETHING has to be done and The President has to try and find a way – let’s not forget Obama didn’t create this mess, he inherited it from 8 years of Neocon mismanagement.

  14. Wheres Waldo says:

ya mr cant even figure out how to do my taxes will take on the problem single-handedly

  15. Shane says:

Nope, I doubt more than a handful of people in Congress have had a real job in their lives. Certainly, the professional community organizer, Obamba, has not. The govt has been on a spending spree for decades and I don’t think they will stop until the country is bankrupt. God save us from our Politicians.

  16. Chris says:

Not the way they are approaching it. Passing a $ 1 trillion dollar stimulus package with over 30% of it being earmarks? ( add in the interest and it is over 1 trillion ) Wasn’t Obama against this type of wasteful government spending? I guess not. I feel they are using this recession as a reason to pass this stimulus bill with all these earmarks to further the Democratic agenda.

Wait until the bill arrives for the 12 trillion dollar national debt. Who is going to save us then? They are just digging the hole deeper. The federal government just needs to keep their hands off of the economy. Do we really want the US government managing the economy? Have you seen them manage anything else well? Enough said.
