I have to be ordered this book in its many editions for classes that I learned on Congress and legislative politics. It is one of the best general texts available – and easily accessible for those who are simply interested in the politics of Congress.

Probably the best textbook on Congress for the students I saw. First and foremost, I love it because it is easy to read and very well written, covers all important topics, and will not be boring. Now you could say that it is not easy to read is important, because for students. But believe me, if you really want to read the assignment students are the items most important attractive.

“The Congress and its members want” is an excellent book for all students of government with a comprehensive introduction to the actions and events in the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives.
