If the Republican Party able to retain their majority in both houses and the Senate in the next election, it will be because of the inability of Democrats. The Democrats have a party without ideas, with an ideology that has not worked in years, and I’m not sure it works in the near future.
At the same time we must recognize the concept of responsibility. In my work, handling money, I’m back decades, to understand certain companies and their institutional cultures. The same is true in politics. Yes, we have had scandals before. I remember Lyndon Johnson and Bobby Baker and John F. Kennedy and his mistress German, who had worked for the secret police of East Germany, the Stasi.
There is something current. Historians say that “power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.” The biggest compliment I can pay to our country is to recognize that we handle things in the voting booth. When to sell the voting booth can not, as in the 2000 presidential election in Florida, the courts to settle. In the 2000 election dispute is the Supreme Court of the United States that it does. In most countries of the world, they settle things with a gun or multiple weapons, or, better still, the army settled things with a coup. Our way is far superior, has always been and always will be.
There is something in the air, what is different this time. I am conservative by nature. I have been since Barry Goldwater’s presidential candidate in 1964. I believe in minimizing government intervention in the lives of the people, because I think the government contributes very little to the end of the conditio humana. You take, but they do nothing. You must pay very little good and a huge amount for it, what they can do. An example is $ 225 for food per day, per soldier, Halliburton, to our troops in Iraq. You and I can in the best restaurants to eat for a lot of money. Only a government can spend so much money.
What I am disturbed by the vanity, arrogance and complete contempt for the rest of us, that this government has shown. We have a president who needs its own citizens in the name of national security, spy, but it should not be a prerequisite for monitoring. The key here is supervision. I know that federal judges who sit in the FBI headquarters each day, whose only job is to sign on the government to grasp the need for negotiations. The same procedure could be easily performed by the CIA and NSA, but nobody wanted it. Apparently, he thought, but did not want. If governments in the secret work, tyranny, we look for visits abroad we end right here. Our founding fathers fought against him and therefore we should.
We have a war in Iraq, where we are all part of the Dance Now. The president has decided not to produce goals when we have highlighted. Is there a national police force of 150,000 Iraqis, before we go out, or an army of 300,000 Iraqi soldiers before we can go? We are now locked in a war without end, without even the shadow of an end, and we suffer a slow death of attrition of our troops.
It’s just the kind of thing that Americans HATE, a war without clear objectives, just suck the money, resources and the flower of our youth. It’s all in the name of nothing. I say this because you or the other clearly defined objectives in the war, or if you have chaos. This president chose chaos. Sometimes I think Vietnam is new to learn again, no one ever in history? Bush has not learning degrees from Yale and Harvard, and a dam, which, apparently, except how to spend money. You know, I could not wait to get Clinton out of office, and now I wonder if his wife is not such a bad idea.
Congress likes to spend his billions of money in the game, and does not even taxes for citizens. Rather than borrow money, spend it and then the debt Europeans, Japan and China continuing to build the national debt. I have not checked that number over the years, but I would bet that between 80% and 90% of the total national debt of the Republicans, which is constructed as the party of fiscal responsibility.
Maybe I’m just getting old, but I’m always much more cynical as the years pass and more liberal, but this is not the liberal definition of liberalism. Barry Goldwater taught me to be that the abortion rights decision of a woman, not nine old men sitting on a Supreme Court. There should be a separation between church and state, as envisaged by the Constitution. If the deeply religious people of this country want to vote, as they should vote and participate necessarily in the political process than others. Recognize that this country with good people who work hard, their rigid religious societies was based on something much better left. We call it America.
When I sit back and see what the Republican-dominated Congress, I think it’s pathetic. Majority Leader Tom DeLay was forced to resign in disgrace. The chairman of the House, Denny Hastert is completely asleep at the switch on the information received, not received, and then received no more pranks Congress gay. Why is it that it is entitled to a gay Democratic Congressman (Barney Frank is also known), but you can not be gay Republican congressman (aka Mark Foley). The Republicans are learning in the closet, and Democrats, they scream out loud.
The Democrats should be on a subject and a single question about Running, “Had Enough”, which would be to forget it time for a change. It is time for a revolution. I could very easily destroyed the Republicans in this election, the two houses, in fact, lose, and then it essentially powerless current president. How much more damage can Bush do when he faced a hostile Congress. He could propose what he proposed, but if the Democrats control of Congress, and will not finance, the game is over.
This scenario is not much better than the current horror show on the stage, but we must make the politicians in power accountable, and nobody has done in six years. Maybe I was better than my party was cold and I could not dream, at least, as it would be much better if things and when we came to power. My fantasy has turned into a nightmare with these people in office, not MY REPUBLICANS, and then there’s Donald Rumsfeld, but that’s another story.
